Automation Anywhere to acquire Boost.ai, adding conversational and voice AI to its automation platform

Automation Anywhere has agreed to acquire enterprise conversational AI company Boost.ai from Nordic Capital, the company announced on 7 October 2026. The price was not disclosed. The deal is expected to close in Q4 2026, subject to regulatory approvals.

It is Automation Anywhere's second AI acquisition in a year, following its purchase of Aisera in late 2025, which brought enterprise knowledge and automated employee service onto its platform.

Why does an automation company want a conversational AI vendor?

Automation Anywhere sells agentic automation and orchestration for enterprise processes. Boost.ai gives it the customer-facing front end: chat and voice agents. The plan is for a request a customer makes in a conversation to be carried through to completion in back-office systems, with people brought in for judgement calls and exceptions.

"Every enterprise runs on three kinds of work: serving customers, supporting employees, and running the business. Most run in isolation," said Mihir Shukla, CEO and Chairman of Automation Anywhere.

"By joining Automation Anywhere, we can connect the conversation, including voice, directly to the systems and people who get the work done, so a customer's request is handled from start to finish," said Jerry Haywood, CEO of Boost.ai.

Ankur Kothari, Automation Anywhere's co-founder and COO, said: "The real transformation from AI will come when enterprises stop measuring agents and start redesigning how work gets done around outcomes."

Boost.ai is strongest in regulated industries

Boost.ai's customers are concentrated in Europe and in regulated sectors such as financial services, telecoms and insurance. They include Nordea, DNB, Sage, Trading 212 and Credit Union of Colorado. CAI covered its global deal with Sage in January 2025.

According to the release, Boost.ai has:

  • more than 650 deployments and 600 live AI agents
  • handled more than 150 million automated conversations
  • support for more than 36 languages
  • a resolution rate above 90% in production deployments, the company says
  • a place in Gartner's Magic Quadrant for Conversational AI Platforms for four consecutive years

Its platform combines traditional natural language understanding with generative and agentic AI.
