OpenFi raises £500k for their SalesTalkAI Conversational AI

Congratulations to the team at OpenFi who have raised £500k in their pre-seed investment round. Lucy Adams at tech.eu has the full story.

Lucy writes:

Conversational AI platform OpenFi has raised £500,000 in pre-seed funding round. Led by Bijan Morvaridi with additional investments from Fortune Green Capital Ltd and Foundation Ventures Ltd, the funding will be used to expand the product team, build the second version of the platform, integrate with a UK financial institution, and work closely with the FCA on AI compliance.

That last sentence is rather stimulating. Which UK financial institution? ;-)

What does SalesTalkAI do?

Well, there's an aspect of Ronseal here. That is, it does-what-it-says-on-the-tin. It helps you manage your sales talk.

Essentially it's a Conversational AI that sits on your website behind a WhatsApp button and then, when the user clicks to engage (via WhatsApp), it manages the initial dialogue thus:

Once the Conversational AI is satisfied it's got a qualified lead, it will then escalate this to your human team for the next steps. The leads can go straight into your CRM system or simply arrive by email. (I would imagine the next iteration might hand off to an existing chat system to enable a real-time experience.)

Is it working? Back to Lucy at Tech.eu:

Just nine months after its launch, OpenFi has already proven to be a valuable tool: during a three-month pilot with a mortgage brokerage, it tripled conversion and revenue.

Nice.

Good luck to the team at OpenFi. One to keep an eye on.
